Cataract surgery is a miracle. I could read the newspaper the next morning! The nurses are fabulous, so caring and helpful. The surgery is so quick, Dr. Stephens very professional but at the same time has a sense of caring, and everyone is very compassionate. The only drawback is the waiting room. I object to tv's being in waiting rooms and usually they are too loud. When one has to sit there for an hour or more (especially the person who accompanies you,) what if you don't like the programming??--which I usually don't. Reading is a lot quieter. Also, chairs not very comfortable for that length of time.
Everything about this place is 5 stars except for the "sales pitch" so to speak. I had lasik done many years ago, still have 20/20 until the cataract, and they tried to 'up sell' me to get 3K worth of extra stuff. Told them no, just what the insurance would cover. This same sales person gave me the riot act that I was supposed to go in the next day (the nursing staff said no I didn't unless I had a problem - its an 80 mile drive for me, and honestly I didn't feel comfortable trying to drive that far as my eye was not 'right' for that kind of thing. I waited about 3 days before I drove and felt I was okay to drive). Just did my 1 week post operation eval, back to 20/20 (without the extras) and eye is healing slowly (because I'm older). (This review is actually for the Arlington location, no clue why the address didn't stick /shrug). In any case Dr. Ramsey did a great job, was in and out in no time and other than the old age healing thing my eyes are back to normal. Thanks Doc.
