Nghiem Duong, O.D.
Dr. Nghiem Duong specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, contact lenses and LASIK and other refractive surgery management at our Arlington office.
Dr. Duong graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Business Foundations Program certificate. She then went on to earn her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
During her training at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Duong received a clinical letter of excellence and was inducted into the Gold Key Honor Society. She also served as President of the Student Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Duong completed her externships at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.
After earning a doctorate degree, Dr. Duong completed a rigorous residency at Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in Durant, Oklahoma where she provided full scope optometric services with additional training geared toward the treatment and management of ocular disease. With her certification in Advanced Ocular Procedures, she also gained experience in lesion removals and minor laser procedures such as yag capsulotomies and peripheral iridotomies as well as selective laser trabeculoplasty.
Dr. Duong is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. Through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, she has served as a member on medical mission trips to Mexico and Ecuador.
