Kristy Griffin, O.D.
Dr. Kristy Griffin specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, contact lenses and laser refractive surgery management.
Dr. Griffin had her own LASIK done at KE Eye Center about five years ago during her optometry training. She is very excited to join the same team who helped her see her best.
Dr. Griffin completed her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at Indiana University and then graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an additional residency in Ocular Disease Management at the Bennett & Bloom Eye Center in Louisville, KY.
During that time she gained experience treating ocular pathology and evaluating and managing candidates for laser corrective surgeries such as LASIK, photorefractive keratectomy, refractive lens exchange and cataract surgery.
Dr. Griffin has special interest in education and spent time as a teaching assistant during her undergraduate years as well as in graduate school and during her residency. Today, her patients appreciate her ability to explain their condition, treatment options and disease management in a way that is easily understandable so they can make informed, educated decisions.
Dr. Griffin is a member of the Texas Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association.
