Josh’s LASIK Story

Josh recently had LASIK at Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center in Arlington. It took him a while to finally take the “plunge” because he was, like a lot of people, nervous. He worried about taking time off of work, that it might be too expensive and that there would be pain. All of those fears were squashed after speaking with other people who were enjoying their LASIK. Here’s his story…

“My number one question I had for everyone was whether or not the procedure and recovery was painful. To my surprise, not one person said that it was. I learned more about the procedure itself and was told that I could return to work the very next day. After speaking with multiple people, I finally decided that I would take the plunge.”

“I could not be happier with my decision to have LASIK. I had been considering LASIK for several years because I am heavily active in Ultimate Frisbee and captained an elite team here in the Dallas area. Wearing contacts while playing really bothered my eyes throughout the season due to the dirt and dust in the air while on the field. By the end of games, my eyes would be red and irritated from the dirt rubbing against my contacts. Now that I have had LASIK, I no longer have that issue while playing. However, the most rewarding part of having LASIK is the simple fact that when I wake up in the morning I no longer have to reach for my glasses to see. Having recently had LASIK, I must admit that I am still in the ‘is this real’ phase.”

“I cannot begin to thank Dr. Evangelista and the entire staff at Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center for making my experience a great one. I strongly believe that many people have the wrong impression about LASIK, as I did before I spoke with the staff at Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center.”

“I will be forever grateful to the staff that helped educate me on the expense of LASIK, the procedure and the recovery.”
